Projects for 2018
Summer Camp
American Legion Post 39 is partnering with the James Dickey Educational Fund to provide space for summer camp in Murphy Park for disadvantaged youth for June and July 2018. The summer camp will also include a nutritional program by Taylor ISD to provide nutritional meals to all Taylor ISD students during the summer.
Self-Defense Classes For Teen Girls
As part of the legion's support of Children & Youth services in the community, we will be partnering with Asgard National Training Group to provide self defense classes for teenage girls. Classes will begin this summer and be offered on a quarterly basis at no charge to the students.
